The idea behind Wheelhouse is simple – to create the kind of company we’d always wanted to work for.
After 7 years in business, our quality design and advertising across all media has meant that we’ve evolved into the company that clients love to work with.

To produce great and distinctive advertising and design, you need a great and diverse team. That’s exactly what we have at Wheelhouse.
Our agency consists of skilled, experienced designers, creatives, account handlers and developers.

Rob Robinson Director, Business Development

Rob formed Wheelhouse Creative back in 1998 along with fellow director Steve Villiers. After years of working for various high profile advertising and design agencies, he felt he could do it better and has been proving it ever since. Rob would like to be a professional windsurfer (but fortunately for us, he hasn't made it yet).

Steve is a co-founder and director of Wheelhouse. With an extensive background in newspaper design, he knows all about quality design and tight deadlines. He's an award winning creative, and a self-professed expert in the art of getting his two children to sleep by 8pm.

Alan Green Head of Operations
|
One of the longest serving members of Wheelhouse, Alan will make sure deadlines are met, turnaround times are fast, work is accurate, budgets are adhered to and you are happy all the way through the project. Alan supports Leicester City Football Club who, paradoxically, he also hates.

David Loughnan Account Director
|
Dave is here to look after the big things that make your projects happen, right through to the little touches that make your projects stand out from those of your competitors. Dave has cornered the market on electric guitar solos made with mouth noises, and is also from the land down under, where women glow and men plunder.

Anthony Ditton Account Executive
|
Anthony is another of our super organised Account Execs. As an ex-designer/developer, Anthony is the man to make sure your project gets executed in the most efficient, creative manner. Ant left the sunny shores of Sydney to be nearer to the swimming capital of the world, Hammersmith.

Matt Haslum Copywriter
|
The wordsmith of the company, Matt loves nothing more than brainstorming his way to the bottom of any creative issue. With the concept cracked, he’ll happily sit with his fingers dancing merrily across the keyboard, tapping out vibrant copy to bring the campaign to life. Matt thinks he has at least one good book in him

Emily Varns Head of Production

Emily is living proof that women can multi-task better than men. Need the highest quality work for the keenest price to absurd deadlines? Pah, it's child's play to our Em. Surprisingly, Emily also likes the colour pink, her tiny hairbrush and bad music from the Eighties.

Kevin Newman Head of Online
|
Working with his team of four, our award-winning digital maestro plans and translates all of our designs into beautifully executed, highly effective online media. When he's not working Kev can be seen pulling rabbits out of hats or stubbing out lit cigarettes on his hand.

James Sparkes Designer
|
|
James is one of our brilliant young designers who loves advertising, illustration, photography and his scooter all with a burning passion. This may explain why he’s currently single. James can also design whilst whistling or humming, sometimes in tune, to any background noise available.

Rowen Bradley Online Designer
|
|
Rowen is happiest when designing and producing beautiful websites and online media for our growing list of happy clients. His smiling face and cheesy puns always help to make the day go smoothly. Ro also is a keen footballer and could have been a contender if it weren’t for those glass-like bones of his.

Tom is smarter than NASA and loves to stare at a screen full of code. He can make a computer do most things (except make a good cup of tea). Although Tommo is well past his teens, he still spends his spare time wearing a hooded top and skateboarding.

Phil Pace Developer

|
Little is known about the mysterious Phil. He comes, he codes, he drinks a few beers and he disappears into the night, safe in the knowledge that he has spent his time developing some of the finest websites around. However, behind that ice cool exterior lies the beating heart of a thrash metal enthusiast dying to be let out.

David (or Jenny, as he is commonly known) is one of our highly skilled and enthusiastic web design and development experts. Apart from his massive DVD collection, Jen can hand code faster than a speeding bullet, and talk till the cows come home.

| Charging Policy |
We will work with you to define a brief or work from a brief you have prepared. From this we will calculate how many days the project will take and multiply this by our day rate. We then stick to this quote.
Where clients use us on a regular basis we usually work out a rate card specific to the client's need or calculate a retainer based fee.
If none of these methods suit a particular client we are always responsive to alternative methods of pricing and payment and regularly work to client's set budgets.

| Process and Tools |
Project pack
On all projects we provide a full written costing and proposal backed up with accurate timelines and a specified client team.
Creative Tracker
To help projects run smoothly and efficiently we use our own custom built software, Creative Tracker. We set up this system for all of our clients so that, if required, they can log-in to a secure area and view all of their creative work and make comments and feedback online. This feedback is then logged along with our response so that you can build up a full project history right up to sign-off and QA. This is an optional service and is not intended to replace face-to-face meetings. This system also doubles as a project archive so you can view or search previous campaigns.
Time management
We have a complete time tracking system to allow you to see where and when the time has gone on your project. This makes our operation completely transparent and gives you additional control over your budgets.
Fully equipped studio
Our continual investment in new technology and the latest software means we always have the right tools for the job.
Web Hosting
As part of our service we also offer web hosting. We can provide a range of packages to suit your needs. |
